Anti-Bullying & Mental Health Awareness Week

Eastmeadows Secondary had an ‘Anti-Bullying & Mental Health Awareness Week’ (30th of Oct – 3rd of Nov) where the students campaigned against bullying. The girls hosted many events including a cake stall, wearing green for mental health awareness, a poetry competition, displaying artwork designed by Year 9 students and an anti-bullying incursion was delivered by Headspace for the Year 7s. During the week, teachers spent 10 minutes of their class time to discuss the effects of bullying and students brainstormed ideas to prevent bullying from occurring at Sirius College. It was a very insightful and eye-opening experience for many of our students.
